Mullaitivu Letter 49

On account of the war and the resulting displacements we lived in several places. Finally we were living in a bunker in Pokkanai. We faced many problems. We didn’t have food or proper clothes. My son suffered an injury in his neck on account of the shelling. My other children and I also suffered minor injuries. We faced loss of property and loss of lives among our relatives. We don’t want to have another experience like this. Now we live without any housing or water facilities. No one can compensate us for our loss of lives and property. You can give whatever help you can to lift us from this situation of intense depression.
