We cannot describe the cruel experiences we had during the war. On 17-09-2008 we left our village. We lived in a hut in Wiswamadu. It was my sister’s land. Water and toilet facilities were available. Since it was the rainy season the the ground inside the hut became wet. On 31-12-2008 I heard the news that my husband had been injured. I asked for help and no one from among my relatives came forward to help me. I went alone to Puthukudiyiruppu hospital. Arial bombing continued. On 13-01.2009 there was intense shelling. On that day my husband came back from the hospital. On 15-01-2009 we set out to a new place. My husband was walking with the help of crutches. In the melee we lost my mother. After 3 days I was able to trace my mother. We spent five days in Theravil. When we decided to stay at a place, firstly we had to think about a bunker, a toilet and water facilities. On the 5th day we dismantled everything and joined the trek. Rice was selling at Rs. 1000/= a Kilo, Fish was Rs. 1000/= a Kilo and Dhal was Rs. 1000/= a Kilo. When we faced these difficulties, we thought death would be a welcome alternative. In Valaignarmadam my husband was injured again. On 24-04-2009 my mother suffered a bullet injury in the neck and she died a painful death. My cousin had a leg injury and her left leg was amputated. I lost my cousin. I went to the camp with my 3 children on 24-05-2009. Now we are resettled. My husband has joined us now. The NRC provided a temporary house. We need a permanent house. We also want to live as good citizens of this country. God must bless us.

2008 දි අපි අවතැන් වෙලා කිලිනොච්චියෙ ඉඳන් පුලියම්පොක්කුනෙයි ගියා. ඊට පස්සෙ මට රෙඩ් බාර්නා එකේදි
බ්රදර් සතාසිවම් මුණගැහුණා. මම එයත් එක්ක ටික කලායක් හිටියා. එතන ප්රශ්න ඇතිවෙච්ච නිසා අපි සුදන්දිරපුරම්වලට ගියා. දිගටම ප්රශ්න ආවා. ඊට පස්සෙ අපි ඉරනෙයිපලෙයිවලට, වලෙයිග්නාර්මඩම්වලට සහ මත්තලන්වලට ගියා. අපි ආයෙමත් මත්තලන් වෙරළට ආවා. එතන ජීවිත වලට වෙලා තිබුණ විනාශය, වචනෙන් විස්තර කරන්න බැරිතරං..ඊට පස්සෙ අපිව කෑම්ප් එකට ගෙනාවා. දැන් අපිව අපේ ගම්වල ආයෙමත් පදිංචිකරවලා තියෙනවා.

அன்புள்ள தம்பி அவர்களுக்கு அக்கா தையல்நாயகி எழுதும் செய்தி என்னவென்றால் நான் விவேகானந்த நகரில் இருந்து 2008. பிரச்சினைகளில் இடம்பெயர்ந்து புளியம்பொக்கனையில் போய் தங்கினேன். பிறகு ரெக்பானாவில் தம்பி சதாசிவத்தை சந்தித்தேன். அவர்கள் அங்கு இருக்க நானும் ஒரு இடத்தில் தங்கியிருந்தேன். அங்கும் பிரச்சினை. எனவே எல்லோரும் சுதந்திரபுரம் சென்றௌம் அங்கும் பிரச்சினை எனவே இறனைப் பாலை சென்றௌம். அவிடமும் பிரச்சினை வலையர் மடம் சென்றௌம். அங்க தங்கலில்லை திரும்பி தம்பி ஆள்களுடன் மாத்தளன் கடற்கரையை வந்தடைந்தோம் ஒன்று கூறுவதற்கில்லை பல விதமான பேரழிவூ இவைகளுக்கெல்லாம் இடையில் முருகா அப்பா நீயே துணை என்று இருக்க பிறகு முகாமை வந்தடைந்தோம். இப்பொழுது மீள்குடியமர்ந்து எங்கள் இருப்பிடங்களில் இருந்து வருகின்றௌம். இது செய்தி அறியவூம்.
